Langley & Freeland Library programs for Parents and Kids
Spanish Story time: at the Freeland Library July 5th at 11 AM and at the Langley Library July 11 at 11 AM. Come hear some stories in Spanish and learn some simple songs and rhymes to enjoy with your family. For newborns through 5 year old and their families.

Take a Hike: with Children (for adults): At the Freeland library on June 18th at 7 PM, noted author Joan Burton scaled all the major peaks of Washington when she was in high school. In cooperation with photographer Ira Spring, Seattle’s Mountaineers Books has published Joan’s two books on recommended hikes with children. What makes a good hike, what to remember when hiking with kids, and different goals for different children will be discussed.

Garden Helpers
: Langley Library for Children and families. Tuesdays July 7, 14, 21,28 at 11 AM. Join your friends at the library for stories, songs, and rhymes of garden helpers. using puppets, story, music, and gesture games, William Dolde will share the busy activities of people, animals, sun, wind, rain, and earth in the garden.

Fitness & Fun for Kids - Summer Camp for Ages 4-10

Session 1: July 6-10, Session 2: July 20-24, 1:00-4:00 pm

Our summer camp offers three hours of fun and activities. The specially developed camp curriculum combines physical fitness and play. It's the perfect break for kids (and parents!) during the summer.

Camp days will be held indoors and out, and will include warm-up, group activities and games. There will be different skill development and lesson plans each day. Summer camp tuition is designed to allow you the flexibility to select whichever day or days of the week work for you.

IAC Member: $20/day, $79 week, Non-member: $23/day, $99/week.

There are also camps at Full Moon Rising Farm in Freeland. Dyanne Harshman and I will be leading the Dragonfly camp for children ages 3 - 6 years old. Farm Life Camp is led by Anne Mauk for children ages 6 - 8 years old. She will also lead Dancing Goat Yoga camp for 11 - 14 year olds. Together, Anne and Scott Mauk will lead Coyote Camp for 7 - 11 year olds. There is also a Secret Garden Drama Camp for 7 - 11 year olds.
