Thanks for the info! I was just thinking about borrowing one of those things to put the kids in so we could all go bike riding this summer. I might need a shorter distance though and the kids would probably only do one hour max but you gotta start somewhere.

Yeah, I think 1-2 hours tops for kids in the bike trailer. Some of the rides (look at the Tour de Whidbey) have short 10-20 mile distances if you wanted to include the kids. For races tho I would have grandma and grandpa watch the kids! Although the Tour de Whidbey looks like fun with their 10 mile family ride I think around Fort Casey area . . . Good luck riding this summer!
Are there any beautiful, paved, biking paths that you recommend? I would love to take a day trip to go biking with the family.
Vanessa,
I really love the paved trail from Coupeville up to the Kettle trails. It is along HWY 525 for about 2 miles then it enters the kettle trail system, and some of those trails are OK for bike trailers. You could go from Coupeville (you know the bridge overhang?) to the Kettle Trails and cut through them to another paved road that is part of the park system. Or ride to Ebey's Landing from Coupeville.
I'm also liking the Community Castle park trails that are very smooth and gravel just up from the kids wooden play set (Maxwelton Road). Do you have a road bike?
