Kid Friendly Farmer's Market: South Whidbey Tilth

http://www.southwhidbeytilth.org/
We are lucky to have two great farmer's markets on South Whidbey Island. The Bayview Farmer's Market and the South Whidbey Tilth Farmer's Market. Previously I have featured the Bayview Farmer's Market, check it out at:
Bayview Farmer's Market Opens for the Season, a Story in Pictures

South Whidbey Tilth Market on HWY 525 and Thompson Road had their grand opening this Saturday and will be open every Saturday 10 AM to 2 PM until October. The grand opening featured an awesome plant sale, BBQ, music, farmer's goods, and a speech by our new commissioner Helen Price Johnson. I absolutely love the large grassy play area where kids can play safely. This market is very kid-friendly. There is also a sand box and kids toys. I would like to see more farmers selling produce though. Over the past few years the Tilth Market has become smaller and smaller. et's extend our community support to the farmers that do sell at the market!

There was a May Pole set up that we enjoyed sitting next to and watching the kids run around and around

Kid friendly Market!

There are always toys for the kids to play with, including a sand box

An interesting do-it-yourself greenhouse. Check it out at the Tilth Market for ideas about how to make your own greenhouse
